Owner Scott James Pacheco began working for renowned custom bed designer Stephen Plaud when he was just 15 years old. For more than 20 years, Scott worked alongside Stephen and helped to produce thousands of traditional and contemporary style pieces of furniture for architects, interior designers and decorators from all over the country.
In 2017, Scott officially took over Stephen Plaud’s business to create Scott James Furniture & Design. Working out of the same Tiverton, Rhode Island workshop with the same team of dedicated master craftsman, Scott is continuing the Stephen Plaud tradition of American built heirlooms.
