Furniture Finisher — Entry Level
SEPT. 2026 | Tiverton, RI | Full-Time

We're looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our shop as an entry-level furniture finisher. Some hands-on experience with woodworking, painting, or refinishing helps; professional finishing experience is not required. We'll train the right person: hardworking, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Sand and prep wood surfaces for finishing

  • Assist with staining, sealing, painting, and clear-coat application

  • Learn color matching and proper finishing techniques

  • Perform touch-ups and corrections under supervision

  • Keep tools and the finishing area clean and organized

  • Follow shop safety procedures

  • Inspect work and correct imperfections as needed

Qualifications

  • Some experience in woodworking, painting, carpentry, cabinetry, or auto body is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination

  • Reliable, punctual, good team player

  • Willing to learn and take direction

  • Able to stand for long periods and do repetitive sanding/prep work

Pay: $18–$24/hour, based on experience

Woodworker — Minimal Experience
SEPT. 2026 | Tiverton, RI | Full-Time

We're looking for a motivated woodworker to join our shop and help build high-quality, custom furniture. Woodworking experience and familiarity with basic woodshop tools are required; professional experience is NOT required. We will train the right person: patient, reliable, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, sand, and prep wood components

  • Assist with furniture construction, assembly, and joinery

  • Operate shop machinery and hand tools safely

  • Work alongside experienced woodworkers on advanced projects

  • Read and follow shop drawings and instructions

  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe

  • Inspect work and make adjustments as needed

Qualifications

  • Some experience with hand tools, table saws, routers, or cabinetry is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

  • Reliable, punctual, good team player

  • Willing to learn and take direction

  • Comfortable measuring accurately and doing basic shop math
