If you are thinking about beds for your next project, here are two things to consider about using tall post beds in a room.
Consider the size of the room. When you have a larger room with high ceilings, you don’t want a bed to be lost in the space. We’ve worked in 20 x 20 rooms with 10ft ceilings that are perfect spaces for tall four post beds. They compliment the space better than a low post bed can.
Style refers to the four large posts that rise up from the corners
Consider your preference. If you like the classic look of traditional tall post beds, it’s easy to find the right style to match your taste. Typically, a tall post bed has four large posts that rise up from the corners. Each post is 81” from the floor to the top of the most or taller. No post is thicker than 5 inches around. Many tall four post beds even have canopies incorporated into them.
Scott James Furniture has many styles of tall four post beds that can inspire your next bedroom project. For traditional looks, look at our Metro Pencil, Portsmouth Pineapple, and the Palm Island bed.
