Frequently Asked Questions About Our Tiverton, Rhode Island Shop

July 28, 2021

Where in Rhode Island are you? We are located right off of 24 South in Tiverton, RI. We are a short drive from Providence, Boston, and Newport, RI. Depending on where you’re coming form, we are a few hours from New York and Connecticut.

Is this your garage? It’s not. We are one of the largest furniture shops on the East Coast and have a 28,000 square foot shop space including office spaces, finishing room, and showroom/storage areas.

Can you make anything? We can build any free-standing piece of furniture. We specialize in heirloom-quality beds, tables, and casework and can work in traditional and modern styles. If an item is upholstered with a wooden finish, we can work on those, as well. We do not do cabinets or work on anything that requires on-site carpentry. A moving company should be able to move our furniture as needed.

What kind of tools do you use? Our machine includes hand tools, standard machines you’d find in any wood shop, and some custom-made, one-of-a-kind, high-precision machines made just for our shop.

Can you do any kind of finish? Our finish room has one enclosed and one open spray booth both equipped with high-quality pumps for perfect applications of all kinds. We are one of the few finish rooms working with multiple products.

Do you have a showroom? Our showroom typically has a lot of floor model pieces but the space doubles as a holding area for items waiting to be shipped out to clients. It is not a typical showroom that anyone can walk through; it is by appointment only.

Can clients walk through? Yes, clients can tour the shop and showroom by appointment only, for safety reasons.

What are your lead times? Lead times can vary throughout the year and are dependent on the availability of materials. As of this summer (2021) our lead times are around 16 weeks.

What do I have to put for deposit? We require 50% deposit at the time of ordering your piece. Deposits are accepted by check or credit card.

Who can buy things from you? Everyone can be our client. If you work in the trade as a designer or architect, you qualify for a trade discount. Retail clients can set up a consultation with our team if they are unsure of where to begin.
