Traditional Campaign Furniture with a Modern Finish

March 18, 2021

Campaign style furniture is one of our favorite pieces because of it’s clean lines and hardware details.

Campaign style furniture is characterized by brass corners, inset handles, and hinges. Campaign furniture was popularized by the British Army as they looked for pieces that could be easily transported, hence the brass corners that would keep the pieces from being damaged during travel.

Our client wanted some traditional campaign style furniture for a child’s room but in a brighter color to match their more modern décor. The dresser and matching etagere shelves were finished in ML Campbell’s lacquer based semi-gloss paint in New York State of Mind blue. This color added a fun, fresh look to a classic design. The custom satin-nickel hardware came from Horton Brasses.
