Season 1, Episode 9 of Ransom Canyon shows main characters Stanten and Quinn at the Double K Ranch.

Ransom Canyon Season 1, Episode 9

From the Rhode Island to Netflix: The Bristol Chessman in Ransom Canyon

January 27, 2026

Sometime in the spring of 2023, we were contacted by set designers working on a new Netflix series. At the time, all we knew was that they needed two custom beds for an upcoming western-style show. The beds were shipped to Albuquerque, New Mexico. That was the last we heard about the project.

Fast forward to April 2025, and those same two beds made their on-screen debut in Netflix’s original western drama, Ransom Canyon.

Our Bristol Chessman Bed is featured throughout the season in the bedroom of the show’s lead character, Staten Kirkland (played by Josh Duhamel). It appears in multiple scenes and had some major screentime during Episode 9.

The second bed, a four-post Harmony bed, didn’t get quite as much screen time. It was placed in Staten’s son’s bedroom and appears briefly in the first episode. You’ll have to watch the series to see why.

Ransom Canyon Season 1, Episode 1

Netflix announced that Season Two wrapped filming in January 2026 and is scheduled to be released later this year. We’re hoping our custom beds make a few more cameos as the story continues.
